About and before an identity validation

Answers to the most common questions about the process, time required, and results.

What is an identity validation?

An identity validation ensures that an individual is the person they claim to be and that the ID documents proving this are genuine and valid.

How is an identity validation conducted?

The identity validation takes place during a meeting between Sistec and the person undergoing the validation. During the meeting, the authenticity of the presented ID documents is checked. The check includes both a visual inspection of the ID documents and an electronic verification of security features and any signs of manipulation. A comparison is also made between the photograph on the ID document and the person being checked to ensure the individual is the person they claim to be.

Why is a physical meeting necessary?

Fake ID documents are very well-made today. A physical meeting is therefore required to ensure that the presented documents are genuine.
